Terms and Conditions

Everybody at New World Montessori Nursery School welcomes you and your child. We hope that together, we can make your child's time here happy, safe and secure. We aim to meet children's educational needs through a carefully planned curriculum.
In order that we can work in partnership, we ask you to enter into the following agreement. We undertake every effort to abide by it terms and ask you to do so as well.

"Parents in Partnership Agreement"

Nursery staff undertake to : Parents agree to :
Allow for settling in time.
The mother can stay with the child for the first few sessions, depending on the individual child.
Attend the Nursery with their child during this settling in time until he/she is happy to be left.
Maintain a daily attendance register and record reasons for absence. Inform us of any reasons of absence.
Implement SEN code of practice and offer support to parents and access to advisory groups. Accept the terms of the SEN policy.
Tell you of any incidents in the Nursery which may have affected your child during the day. Tell us of any significant happenings at home which may affect a child's behaviour in the Nursery.
Advise you of any outbreaks of infection, diseases or headlice. Inform us if their child has contracted an infectious disease or has headlice.
Do our best to comfort children who have become ill during the day and we will inform you as soon as possible. Keep a sick child at home and collect one who becomes ill from the Nursery as soon as possible.
Keep a contact register in case you are unavailable. Give us names and telephone numbers of people we can contact in case of emergency and inform us of any changes.
Plan a programme of activities to meet each child's individual needs, based on recorded observation. Share their child's interest by talking with them about what they have been doing in the Nursery.
Look after child's belongings and put anything that is misplaced in the lost property box. Ensure that, smocks, coats, hats, boots etc., are clearly marked with the child's name.
Organise special events and special visits into the locality. We will advise you when this is planned . Give consent for this to happen. Come along and help if they wish.
Do our best to always be well staffed and equipped.
This is an expensive exercise.
Pay fees promptly on first week of each Term, to keep costs down.
Implement a policy of equal opportunities (enshrined in law).
We will help the children to learn about other cultures and aim to develop their respect and tolerance for race and religion. Boys and girls are treated equally and given equal access to all activities and appropriate responsibilities.
Accept the policy of equal opportunities.

Keep a file of all written Nursery policies in the Nursery at all times. These include:
Admissions.
Health and Safety.
Special Needs. etc.

Look at or have copies of these policies if they wish.
Give you Termly Newsletter about the events and plans we have in mind for your children. Read this and perhaps contribute articles, letters or comments.
Encourage your child to experiment with a variety of materials and be creative. In doing this they may get messy. Provide sensible clothing and ensure that they wear their smocks to Nursery every day.
Not allow anyone except you or a person authorised by you to take your child home. Inform us if you cannot collect your child and tell us who will do so on your behalf.
